Cause
This error occurs when the connection profile was created on computer running one language version of Windows, and you attempt to edit that profile on a computer running a different language version of Windows.
It can also occur if you create a connection profile, then install a language pack on the operating system, and then attempt to edit the connection profile.
Solution
Profiles you create with Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK) must be modified on a computer running the same language pack as the computer on which the profiles were created.
If you find it necessary to switch to a different language pack, then you must recreate the connection profile.
